The chairman of Our Party, Renato Usatii, believes that the appointed candidate for the post of prime Minister, Vasile Tofan, has a chance to prove that he came not just to take this position, but to change the approach to governing the Republic of Moldova.

He stated this on social media, stressing that Tofan "has the opportunity to show that he will be the Prime minister of the Republic of Moldova, and not the prime minister of PAS."

According to Usatii, Moldova "no longer needs another party cabinet of ministers — it needs a government of professionals."

"If he really undertakes the mission to lead the country out of the crisis, the first step is obvious — to form a government of professionals, not a party government. If the team is formed based on the principle of competence, rather than political affiliation, this will be proof that decisions are made in the interests of the country, and not one party," said Renato Usatii.

He is convinced that ministers should be selected solely according to professional criteria. Their candidacies can be proposed by both parliamentary and extra-parliamentary parties, as well as representatives of the business community, public authorities, academia and civil society.

Renato Usatii believes that the second mandatory step should be the presentation of a National Rescue Plan before the vote in Parliament, developed jointly with experts in the fields of economics, agriculture, health, education, infrastructure and public administration.

"The Republic of Moldova no longer needs promises. She needs solutions. If Tofan proposes the same party government, with the same team and the same management logic, this will confirm that only the name of the prime minister has changed, and not the way the country is governed. In this case, early parliamentary elections will remain the only democratic way by which citizens will be able to determine who should lead the Republic of Moldova," Renato Usatii concluded.
