Our Party MP Constantin Cuiumju, presenting a draft resolution on the matter, stated that the main reason for this move was the delay in revising the gas tariff (which was approved on February 3).
"This delay means an additional financial burden for citizens. Despite the preconditions for a reduction due to falling market prices, citizens have been forced to pay maximum prices until recently," the MP said.
He also emphasized the "vulnerability" of the energy sector, as evidenced by the recent blackout on January 31.
The opposition plans to hear statements from the leadership of the Ministry of Energy, ANRE, and Energocom regarding the current situation. The initiators also call on the government to take emergency measures, including declaring a state of emergency, to retroactively impose the gas tariff (at least from January 1).
The draft resolution on the vote of no confidence was introduced after the parliamentary majority rejected all opposition MPs' proposals to hold hearings on the energy situation. They proposed hearings with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and Energy Minister Dorin Zhungieta. The opposition's proposal to hear the government's report on its first 100 days in office was also rejected.

"Our Party" is an extraparliamentary opposition political formation, positioning itself as a pro-Moldovan party advocating for a balanced foreign policy between East and West. We are convinced that for the Republic of Moldova today, the priority is not geopolitics, but solving the country's and its citizens' problems.
